Reviews for Yong He Soya Milk
Review highlights
Based on 4,788 reviewsYong He Soya Milk King (Da’an) is widely recognized for offering an authentic Taiwanese breakfast experience in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The establishment is praised for its efficient service, especially during off-peak hours when queues are shorter. Signature items such as soy milk—both sweet and savory—fried dough sticks (youtiao), and savory pancakes consistently receive positive feedback for their flavor and quality. While some dishes, like the preserved vegetable soy beancurd, may have robust flavors that polarize diners, customization options are available to suit different tastes. The dining environment is noted for its warm local vibes, attracting both tourists and locals alike seeking traditional breakfast fare. Although some items like dumplings occasionally come across as less distinctive, the overall consensus highlights the brand’s strong commitment to delivering a satisfying and genuine breakfast experience in Taipei’s Da’an District.
Stopped by for a late breakfast after realizing the queue at fuhang was just way too long Really nice place with no queue at about 10am, staff was very nice and welcoming First time trying savoury soy beancurd here: melded together very deliciously but can see why the flavours may be a bit robust for some people - just ask to add less preserved vegetable
If you want an authentic Taiwanese breakfast experience, come to Yong He. Best to go early in the morning because later on in the day, long queues at both the takeout and dine in areas start to form. During my stay in Da'an district, I kept coming here for their super light and airy youtiao that's bursting with flavor. Their soy milk and salty soy milk are also top notch. Special mention also goes to their egg omelet. The atmosphere is super fast paced so you gotta know what you want before you go. If it's your first time here, be advised that the dine in line is inside and the takeout line is outside. Also, don't forget to clean up after yourself after you eat! Area at the back provided for used bowls and trays and trash as well.
Such a cosy atmosphere. You can really feel the authentic Taiwan vibes even though there are tourists all around. The food was delicious and left us wanting for more. It's a real shame our stay in Taiwan was not long. Otherwise I would have come back here again and again! If you end up coming here don't forget to order a drink. It was very rich and creamy.
Good local Taiwanese breakfast experience! The food was really nice. Would recommend pancake with floss and eggs, that was our favourite. I personally liked You Tiao or fried dough, it’s crispy and light but my partner thinks it’s just fried dough. Probably because I have had worse growing up in Asia! Xiao Long Bao (steamed dumplings) were also good! would recommend. We also tried salty soy milk. That was nice but not our kind of breakfast but think it’s good for someone who prefers warm soup for breakfast. It’s got shrimp in it so be mindful if you are allergic to shrimp or seafood. We also tried cold milk tea which was good! and I’m a big fan of milk tea. Have to say it’s more like local milk tea rather than milk tea that you can find from bubble milk tea shops. Again would recommend this for the drink.
the best breakfast place in town. i visited other places as well but i returned to this place at the end of the tour. my number one menu here was the fried dough sticks with egg. it was like a sandwich with fried stick inside with eggs. dumplings were frozen ones i believe as other soy milk place had the same recipe.
We got the traditional dim sum , radish cake & the cold soy milk. They did have an English menu which made it easy to place an order. We did enjoy the meal and we were able to find a table to dine in.
This oven baked ‘bread’ is flaky and more like a delicious warm pastry. If you’ve been to the other viral Soy Milk place, their bread is actual bread texture - given that you have so many carbs in the one dish, this place is my choice for ‘bread’, youtiao and egg combo.
It felt like an authentic breakfast restaurant, chaotic and with many locals. We went on a Saturday morning but we managed to share a table. We ordered the rice porridge which was rich and savoury. For dessert we had egg rolls and peanut milk which was creamy and the right level of sweetness. The service was fast but don't expect anything else
